Puff pastry pie with pear, camembert cheese and walnuts

Open pie that is very easy to make and does not take much time to prepare. The pie filling is a delicious combination of ripe pear, camembert cheese, walnuts, and honey.

Ingredients:
Four sheets of puff pastry about 10×15 cm in size
Three ripe pears, sliced lengthwise
Two camembert cheeses, 240 g in total
2-3 tbsp liquid honey
A handful of coarsely chopped walnuts
0.5 tsp thyme
Egg for brushing the puff pastry
Sea salt and black pepper for seasoning

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C.
  2. Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the puff pastry sheets on the baking paper
  3. Slice the pears and the camembert cheese; roughly chop the walnuts
  4. Brush the pastry sheets with beaten egg, cover the pastry sheets alternately with pear and cheese slices so that they overlap. Leave about 1 cm of each edge of the pastry uncovered.
  5. Sprinkle the pies with sea salt and black pepper, drizzle with liquid honey, and sprinkle with chopped walnuts and thyme.
  6. Bake at 200 degrees C for about 10-15 minutes until the pastry is browned and the layers separate easily.
    Serve immediately.
