Mayonnaise cookies
Another childhood nostalgia again. Grandma used to make these cookies now and then when she had leftover mayonnaise. One of the easiest cookie recipes ever. Since mayonnaise is essentially an emulsion of oil and egg, it is not necessary to add either one or the other to the dough, mayonnaise provides both components.
Preparation time: 15 minutes preparing the dough, about 45 minutes baking
Level: Easy
Quantity: About 40 cookies
Ingredients:
300 g of Hellmans mayonnaise
200 g of sugar
2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar
450 g of flour
1.5 teaspoons of baking powder
Preparation:
- Mix sugar, mayonnaise, vanilla sugar, flour, and baking powder.
- The mixture is slightly dry and lumpy, it is easier to mix the dough with your hands. Mix the dough until smooth, form balls about 2 cm in size, place them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper, and lightly press the stripes on the surface of the cookies with a fork.
3 Bake at 200 degrees C for about 10 minutes until the cookies are slightly brown. - Put the cookies on a wire rack and let them cool.
Store in a cool, dry, airtight container.
Ready!!
