Sweet Peanut Butter Cookies
Cookies from the United States of America. It is believed that these cookies were made in the first or second decade of the 20th century. There are many different recipes for these cookies, the common denominator is that the cookies contain peanut butter as one of the main components. These cookies can be made both savory and sweet. My version of sweet cookies is like this.
Preparation time: 15-20 minutes
Level: Easy
Quantity: about 250 small cookies
Ingredients:
200 g room temperature butter
400 g of flour
300 g of peanut butter
100 g of white crystal sugar
100 g of brown sugar
3 eggs
1.5 teaspoons of baking powder
0.25 teaspoons of sea salt
1.5 teaspoons of vanilla sugar
Preparation:
- Mix the butter, flour, peanut butter, both brown and white sugar, eggs, salt, baking powder and vanilla sugar.
- Mix by hand into a smooth dough.
- Shake a little flour on the work surface and roll ¼ of the dough to a thickness of about 2-4 mm and form cookies from the dough with a round mold (I used a 3 cm mold).
- Place the cookies on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Press stripes into the cookies with a fork, or in two directions forming a cross.
- Bake at 180 degrees for 9 minutes.
- Carefully place the cookies on the rack, cool, and place them in a storage container.
Ready!!
