Home-made hamburgers

The origin of the Hamburgers is considered to be dated to end of the 19th century or to the beginning of the 20th century in the United States, where the steak of Hamburg minced meat was placed between the two pieces of bread to make easier to eat it.

In any case, hamburgers have gove through the period of the boom, a period of decline, and have reached a state where all kinds of hamburgers and flavors are being tried, ranging from classic hamburgers to variations of vegetarian food. For example, in India, the Aloo Tikkit is used for the production of hamburgers, which can be found here.

Here I would offer one simple variant of a relatively classic hamburger using high-quality pork minced meat, delicious sauce and a decent amount of fresh salad, red onion, and cherry tomatoes …

Preparation time: 30 min preparation, 5 min hamburger assembly
Level: Very simple
Quantity: 4 hamburgers

Ingredients:

For the minced meat steak
200g high quality minced meat (pork, beef, blend), here is used delicious pork meat from Rotaks
1 small chopped onion
1 egg
Pinch of sugar, salt, and black pepper
Sauce
4 tabs mayonnaise
2 tbs tomato paste (also suitable for ketchup)
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
0.5tl of sugar
1 teaspoon very finely chopped the pickled cucumber
0.5 teaspoon of English mustard
Ground black pepper, salt for seasoning

Hamburger buns, Estonian Bakery buns are of good quality
1 red onion
8 cherry tomatoes
Salad leaf, chopped
Cheese (basically any kind of cheese that melts in the heat) an using English Cheddars myself.

Preparation:
1. Mix the minced meat with the egg and chopped onion, season with salt and pepper. Adding a bit of sugar in minced meat always gives a very good result
2. Roll the balls of minced meat, roll in bread crumble. We love very thin burgers in our family, so I have used Carl Schmidt Sohn Burger Press, which makes it possible to make thin burgers and also leave nice grilling stripes on the surface
3. Fry on medium heat with a small amount of oil for 3-5 minutes on each side according to burger thickness
4. Prepare the sauce by mixing the ingredients, greasing the burger on both sides evenly.
5. Place the side of the oven plate with sauce on top and warm to 200 degrees Celsius for 5 min. During this time the edges of the pastry will also become a bit crispy.
6. Raise the buns out of the oven, cover the bottom side with the cheese, place the fried burger on it, shake gently the black pepper and cover with the cheese.
7. Place the oven until the cheese begins to melt (5-7min)
8. Cut the very thin slices of red onion, cut the cherry tomatoes into slices, chop the lettuce leaves.
9. Take hot hamburgers from the oven, quickly put on top of the cheese, onion, tomato rad and salad. Place the top of the bun to complete the hamburger.
Good breakfast or something to offer to friends in the evening.
Ready!
