Pollo alla diavola
This is a very interesting Italian recipe I come across in many cookbooks, blog posts, and also articles. It is an extremely tasty dish, which is not difficult to prepare in practice, it is cheap and can be prepared surprisingly quickly. Perfect food to surprise guests for dinner. It is Italian food of unknown origin, with a similar basic characteristic but sometimes using different flavorings The important point is that this chicken should be spicy, which could be the essence of the name of this food.
Preparation time: 10 min preparation, 30 min frying
Level: average
Serves: two to four
Ingredients:
One young broiler chicken
0.5 teaspoon of sea salt and black pepper for seasoning
1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika powder or, if desired, smoked paprika powder
For frying olive oil
Preparation:
1. Cut the chicken with a sharp knife on the side of the breast and press it against the work surface.
2. Feel free to use the meat hammer, dough roll, or other heavy object and beat the chicken completely flat, which is also softens the meat. Beating may break some of the bones, but that’s not the case, they can be easily removed while eating.
3. Mix salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper and paprika, and garlic powder, and rub the chicken thoroughly with this mixture
4. Heat the oil in a thick-bottomed pan and fry the chicken over medium heat. Making this food may require a slightly larger pan.
5. During frying, press on the chicken close to the pan using for initial few minutes or longer flat heavy equipment e.g. saucepan or soup pot full of water. Turn the chicken over and fry over medium heat until the chicken is soft and the skin is crispy and brown.
6. Serve the chicken with vegetables, also you can make a dipping mixing the yogurt and herbs.
Serve hot.
Ready !!!!
