Brie cheese with pear honey and roasted walnuts

One very simple appetizer from our this year Christmas table. The sweetness of the pear honey with the crunchy toasted walnuts goes great with the melted white cheese.

Preparation time: 15 minutes, plus making honey and roasting the nuts
Level: Easy
Quantity: for four

Ingredients:
4 smaller Brie kinds of cheese
A handful of walnuts
4 ripe pears, cored and chopped
2 tablespoons of honey
If desired, 0.25 teaspoons of chopped ginger

Preparation:

  1. Peel and chop the pears, put them together with honey and, if desired, ginger in a cooking pot, and simmer until the liquid reduces and the honey becomes thick.
  2. Roast the walnuts in a dry pan and chop them into smaller pieces with a knife.
  3. Cut diagonally 0.5 cm deep incisions in the surface of the Brie cheese.
  4. Cover the surface of the cheese with 1.5 tablespoons of pear honey and sprinkle chopped walnuts on top.
  5. Place on baking paper and bake at 200 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Watch carefully if the first cheese starts to fall apart a little, then stop cooking and serve immediately as an appetizer.
    Done!!
