South Africa Golden Rice
Sweet yellow rice, well known in South African Malay cuisine using butter, cinnamon, raisins, and turmeric for preparation. Delicious rice, which is suitable for African curry foods or just to eat.

Ingredients:
1.5 cups of long-grain white rice
2 cups water
0.5 cups of black raisins
50 g of sweet butter
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
0.5 teaspoons ground turmeric
0.25 teaspoon sea salt
Preparation:
1. Rinse the rice a few times with cold water and pour into a thick-bottomed pot
2. Add water, butter, spices, and raisins and bring to a boil over medium heat
3. Minimize the heat and simmer the rice under the lid until the water is completely absorbed
Serve with African curry dishes and bobotie
