Paprika chicken (Paprikás csirke)
In Hungarian cuisine, a lot of paprika is used for seasoning. This food is one of the classic Hungarian dishes. A lot of sweet paprika powder sometimes smoked paprika, is used in the preparation. Sometimes, pieces of red or yellow bell pepper or a little tomato paste are added to the sauce. The sauce is made with sour cream.

Ingredients:
8 backs the chicken
100 g of sour cream
3 tablespoons sweet paprika powder
0.5 teaspoons hot pepper powder
3 tablespoons wheat flour
75 g butter
1 larger chopped onion
150 ml of water or chicken broth
Sea salt and ground black pepper to taste
Edible oil for onion browning
Preparation:
1. Chop the onion and slightly fry in few tablespoons of cooking oil and set aside
2. Pour the flour onto a plate, roll the chicken pieces in the flour, and brown the butter until golden on all sides.
3. Add water or broth, season lightly with salt and pepper, add the fried onions, and place in the pan at 200 degrees for about 45 minutes.
4. Remove the chicken from the pan, add the peppers and sour cream to the sauce, and mix well.
5. Add the chicken pieces to the sauce and serve hot with the potatoes, noodles, salad, or any other addition you like.
