Cheese cookies
Kiira Gildemann shared a recipe for cheese cookies she offered at work a day before the summer vacation. The cookies were excellent soft, crispy, and melt-in-your-mouth. The cheese gave to the cookies a pleasant saltiness. I will try to make them myself.
Preparation time: About 1 hour, including baking
Level: easy
Quantity: a decent bowl of cookies
Ingredients:
500 g Dutch type harder cheese
400 g of wheat flour
400 g butter
0.5 to 1 teaspoon of salt
Preparation:
1. Grate the cheese coarsely
2. Add butter, flour, and salt
3. Knead everything into the dough and keep +4 degrees for about 30 minutes to make the dough better to roll.
4. Roll the dough out on baking paper. The dough is sticky, and without baking paper, it is hard to work with the dough.
5. Cut the dough into pieces of suitable size, take the shaped cookie from the baking paper with a knife or cake spatula and place it on a baking mold covered with baking paper. Leave about 1 cm space between the cookies.
6. Bake at 180 degrees C for 20-25 minutes until the cookies are golden brown.
Ready to enjoy!!
